BUCK OWENS R.I.P.
BONANZA was deeply distressed to hear of the passing away of Buck Owens at the weekend.
Buck was a true innovator of Country music being largely responsible for ‘The Bakersfield Sound’. He was a great entertainer and also hosted one of the single most successful TV shows of all time.
Openly critical of some of the more mainstream Country acts he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind:
“Assembly line robot music turn me off”
BONANZA will of course pay tribute to the great man in the coming weeks.
Oh and ‘Reason No.1 to own a Telecaster’ he was one of the first.
